Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, the attendee will be able to:

• Evaluate and raise awareness about environmental impact of healthcare
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of sustainability-related terminology and concepts.
• Examine and analyze specific sustainability initiatives implemented at Keck Medicine of USC
• Inspire individuals to take proactive measures within their own institutions to promote sustainability. 

Brief Description:

Healthcare's impact on the environment and population health is substantial and the current system and practices are not sustainable. As clinicians, we have the responsibility to lead the effort in reducing healthcare's carbon footprint, pollution, and waste generation while delivering high-quality care. This presentation will highlight the current environmental state, healthcare's impact, and showcase sustainable examples from Keck Medicine of USC. The goal is to educate and inspire the audience to take action and pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future in healthcare.
